A separate aseptic section is dedicated for microbiological work. Investigations include both pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms. The major area of research for the team is to isolate and characterize microbial strains, investigate antimicrobial potential of test compounds/matrix, and isolate bioactive components from microbial cultures.
